RH9990 Rare Jacobi & Jenkins Baltimore Sterling Tureen

Circa 1900

An important oversize impressive sterling silver tureen chased with hunting scenes with an unusual pedestal base and ornate heavy lid. Large pomegranate finial bolted to the lid. Inscribed with a presentation on the base indicating date of production being 1900. Marked inside the base. Large applied cast lion faces as handles with floral wreath rings suspended from hinges.

The engraved crest in the cartouche on the lid is that of the Gordon clan.
